Fly Away Home is 9 x 12 in Journal Quilt.  This began as a piece of muslin that was gelatin printed with acrylic paints, free motion quilted with feathers, and embellished with hot crystals.  It was created in a Permission 2 Play Class at JanniLou Creations Quilt Shop, Nancy Bryant - Instructor.

If you have never tried the gelatin printing technique, give it a try!  The possibilities are endless.......and it is so much fun!

Great use of feather quilting to get the concept of the title across. Looks like you had a lot of fun in the fabric printing.  Would love to see a detail shot.
