one of a series of small art quilts made for a collaborative project

the peacock feather is mainly embroidered in satin stitch, but the 'eye' of the feather is a combination of french knots and beads

the cotton background fabric was hand dyed

this measures approx 6" square

I love the colours you've used in this.... I adore peacock feathers and have recently been given a large handful of them by a freind who owns several birds! I know that a design is working it's way to the surface! Is the chartreuse coloured fabric silk?
