Tulip Window

This quilt came about because of the monthly class at my local quilting guild's (Pecos Valley Quilters, Roswell, NM). In January this year one of our members, J. Michelle Watts, taught a class on Stenciling. I did the center panels in that class. I knew I wanted to use the panels in an art quilt.

This is what I came up with. The background is done in the Attic Window pattern. The Tulips and leaves are raw edge appliqued. The tulips are lightly padded out and are accented with both paint and stitching for emphases. The quilt measures 22.5 X 22.5 inches and is machine quilted.
