I made this small quilt  after looking at the pictures of Melanie Testa's Inspired to Quilt. Now that I'm reading the book, I want to really try the techniques! Freezer paper stencils, Shiva Paintstiks, hand sewing, silk organza and cotton.

so soft and pretty!  I love the soft, watery look. It reminds me of my best summer, spent dreaming of a trip-of-a-lifetime to Ireland, swinging lazily on the hammock in my front yard, watching the birds, butterflies, bees, and airplanes flying by... and sailing off into the wide blue skies with them, in my imagination.

This is beautiful! What did you use to make the butterfly and flowers? A stamp you made? It turned out so fresh and summery!
