Quilted MacBook Cover-Closure

This is a cover I quilted to protect my MacBook while I'm on the road.  I designed it with crocheted sides which have just enough give to take the stress off the seams for repeated use, and also to act as vents to since the MacBook will often go into the case while it's still warm, and an entirely fabric cover would hold the heat in.

I was wondering did you make the fabric as well? It looks like you made a resist of some kind? I would love to hear more about the fabric?!

No, I didn't make the fabric myself.  It was hand-dyed by another artist in a very large batch, and I was lucky enough to get a yard of it.
