This is a photo showing the entire piece. The two orange backgrounds and the large redish/purple strip of fabric on the left side were created with dyed cotton batting. The pinkish area in the middle is painted paper and the sheer white-on-white fabric is actually a dryer sheet, pressed flat and rubbed with a white Shiva stick and one of my hot glue rubbing plates. The small scrap towards the middle is paper towels left over from cleaning up after past dye jobs. The stitching is incomplete on this so far, and the uneven edge is intentional- it will stay like that, if I can figure out how to mount it on something that will allow the whole thing to hang properly.

Right now it measures about 18" x 26".

I like how this is looking. Using such different materials makes it all the more interesting!
