I can not remember a time when I didn’t have some type of needle-work project near by.
My grandmother was a dress designer and maker; her home filled with the finest silks, satins, pearls, and lace. I recall as a very young child sitting in her sewing room, turning the beautiful scraps of fabric into tiny yo-yo quilts.
I discovered crazy quilting 30 years ago and have used different forms of this style ever since. The asymmetry combined with a variety of found objects satisfies my need to create things out of the ordinary.
I prefer to work with recycled clothing and accessories, assuring the uniqueness of each piece of art.
