My name is Connie. I have loved quilting and getting creative with digital pictures for the past 10 years....but I have worked 28 years at Pepperidge Farm and could never find the time to really quilt much, but it was always on my mind and I was always looking at new ideals. Recently I took an early retirement, so that I could work at my creative side, instead of just thinking about it. My mother in law got me started with simple 9 patches that you just tie....then I made some rag quilts and then finally took a class and made a log cabin quilt. Since then, I've made numerous quilts for baby showers and my grand-children, I have 11.
I am a country grand-ma. I have a horse, mini pony, shetland pony, a cat, a Newfoundland, a Sheltie and a Mutt who could work for Disney. I love the beach, but have to go on vacation for that. I love the simple things in life. I live in the Amish country and love to see the horses in the fields....as I grew up, my father was a horse trainer, so I have a great love for horses and ponies. Actually, I'm just a plain animal nut. I like to take pictures of animals and children, that's my favorite.
I am anxious to meet and talk with other artists as I learn more and more techniques in the quilting arts field.
