I am a 'junior' senior citizen. I have been quilting for a number of years. I'm not a traditionalist but I haven't quite grabbed the art branch that is being offered. I prefer to machine quilt and I am comfortable with free motion work. I've dipped a toe in the dye bath. I've taken a course or two in the fibre art world. Now to firmly grasp that branch and plunge more than a toe into the whole ocean of opportunity that Quilting Arts offers. Ready, setty; jump!
This is The Costume Museum of Canada's Quilt Challenge. We were to take an old garment and make a quilt. I used a 50's taffeta cocktail dress. I added two auction sale fabrics The sashing was a perfect 2008 accent.
