I have been quilting for 17 years and with a full time job do not carve out enough time to enjoy my hobby. One grandmother taught me to sew when I was young, the other taught me embroidery and crocheting. I've been learning, crafting and creating ever since. Somtimes I just sit in my studio thinking of my grandmother who taught me to sew and wishing that she could have enjoyed the little slice of heaven I have created for myself to work in. I never thought of myself as an "artist" until the last few years. Being able to share my passions with fellow quilters and scrapbookers helps to remind me that there are hundreds of ways to be an artist and create. I had a dream job in high school, I worked at an American Handicrafts store my junior & senior year, it was fantastic. My passon to create started very young but I always considered an artist only someone who could draw or paint. I'm so very glad we've expanded that definition. I love Cloth, Paper, Scissors as it has broadened my knowledge and inspires me always.
