It seems like I've had a needle in my hand since I was a young girl. I am self taught for most media's, embroidery, silk ribbon embroidery, beading, quilting and i am also a photographer, i dabble in mosaics and have tried stained glass, but i always seem to go back to quilting or something quilt related. Lately I've been creating my one of a kind purses using antique frames and have been having a ball! I'm not sure where this God given talent comes from as I seem to be the only artist in my family. I sewed for Quiltmaker magazine back in the 90's as a "home sewer" and my work was photographed in 2 years worth of magazines. I have also taught various types of quilting over the years in many quilt shops. I often design my own quilts as I really like to think outside the box and find patterns and kits too mentally confining.
