Anderson Mill Detail

Detail of the fabric painted mill siding and the thread painted vines on the Anderson Mill Quilt, one of a collection of ten landscape quilts and five thread paintings on silk of historic and notable places in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.  The SC Arts Partnership grant collection, Threads of Our Heritage, will be displayed at the Chapman Cultural Center at the end of August through October 7th.  I hope you will visit my blog, http://threadsabovethefray.blogspot.com/. 1. Thank you!  No fabric in my stash closely replicated the rusty corrogated metal siding. I had to use a base color and paint the details.  I love rustic buildings.
