Ask The Cowboys at the Bucket of Blood saloon

I took a photo of may Brother-in-law talking to the cowboys at the Bucket Of Blood Saloon in Virginia City Nevada.   When I printed the photo for him I decided it must be a quilt.   I designed the pattern from my photo. I used a lot of my hand dyed material for the raw edge piecing.  I painted the bottles on the bar with fabric paint and used photo transfer for the labels.  The reflection in the mirror is from the original photo printed on cotton.  In the border I printed some of my photos of the town on organza for a ghostly effect.

  1. I have enjoyed coming back to this one again and again. Looking around at all the details. What a great piece. I know I need to expand my techniques when I see such fabulous work you’ve done with all your talent.
