Bad to The Bone

This is my interpertation of a photo taken of my brother on his Harley. It was created using Mary Pal's cheesecloth techniques I saw on Quilting Arts TV. I used bleached out cotton for his "do rag" and added a snake charm for his earring, since he likes to hunt rattlesnakes.  It's about 13" square and I used a leather belt secured with leather shoestrings, knotted and shortened. I quilted it with monofilament thread.

  1. The technique of the dark lines — from applique on the black background I assume – works really well. And finishing with the leather belt is clever and so fitting.
