CitraSolv/NatGeo Collages- week 2

For the last few weeks, I've been building collages based on the mixed-media technique using CitraSolv Concentrate written about by Cathy Taylor in the most recent Cloth, Paper, Scissors.

This is from Week 2 and also incorporates Sheer Heaven paper.

For an explanation of how each was made, please see my blog posts on the subject!

  1. Great art piece-and inspirational for sure! One of our favorite birds-we feed them every day and we are given such moments of joy when they come by the feeders and share space and time with us, and we so enjoy their lovely winter songs! This lovely work makes me think of just how beautiful our world is, right outside our window! Sometimes, life gets too involved in “stuff” that can bog us down, and art-gifts shared seem to melt away all that…isn’t it funny how a shared work of art spreads its magical balm over us, and heals our lives in such profound and subtle ways? When time allows a few moments, I visit this website and view some art pieces created by such talented people as yourself; who take the time and effort to share their creations with the rest of us. I realize that this sharing is such a gift of healing and inspiration, not only to create more art, but motivation to start a project-or finish another! When I get too immersed in lifes “stuff”- I go to my quilting and art room, or I visit this great website and look at a few of just such gifts shared, and the world makes sense to me again. This lovely piece has just such an effect on me, as it speaks of nature, birds, sharing- and all that is good in our world!

A great use of materials….thank you for sharing this beautiful art piece-and information on the material that you used to achieve such a gracious work of art…I’ll be watching for more of your art pieces, they are lovely! Thank you!
