Fabric Mosaic Racism Love and Understanding Conquers It

This fabric mosiac was made using small pieces of fabrics fused to a background.  The quilt was quilted by Linda Gillett of Edison, Nebraska.   It has been traveling around the country in an exhibition by FiberArtists of Hope.  It is now showing in Pennsylvanis National Quilt Extravaganza XVIII, until Spetember 18, 2011.

  1. There’s a great deal of terrific detail in this piece. I’d love to see an upclose shot. Also, given the title, I imagine that there’s quite a story behind the piece. Why not tell us something about its background?
