This is my family tree quilt representing the original Taylor family that immigrated from Londonderry, Ireland to Londonderry, New Hampshire. It was raffled at the family reunion in New Hampshire in July, 2011, and sold for $350.00. I was totally shocked! The outside borders are supposed to represent old books but didn't turn out so well. Nevertheless, all of those at the reunion were able to sign their names on the muslin blocks which made it even more special. The "nuts", the sheep, eagle, and flower border at the bottom of the scene were printed on fabric and then appliqued by machine. The rest was pretty much landscape type fabric.
