"Flower Powered"

12x8x6"  2010  This quilted house unties at the roof to reveal an interior that can be used as a container.  The whimsical crochet and beaded flowers on the roof give it a humorous quality.  The shape of the house is a loose interpretation of the shotgun style of architecture that is common to New Orleans.  It is on display June -July 2010, in "Growing Pains" at LeMieux Gallery in New Orleans.  www.christinesauer.com
