Hatching My Babies

This quilt is folk art style made from mixed media. The swan is fleece with a beak and legs of dyed lamb's wool fibers and the eye is a multi-sided black bead. The eggs are paper and the nest is made of twine. The hatching baby is also dyed lamb's wool fibers. The background is batik fabric and the swan is stitched with variegated rayon thread.

  1. Your use of “fall like colors” gives your piece originality and a completely different feel.  While working on my piece “Vigil” I thought about many colors I could use, but none such as these.  You have my vote, Good Luck!!
