Kaye: "When I made this art piece I had hoped it would be embellished with words and beads and lightly paint streaked. I had also hoped to add an irregular edge and a stain-stitched binding. I love words and would love to see them expressed on the front of this quilt. I had hoped it would sing and instead it has been silent. The poor thing has hung on my wall for about a year and a half."

Terrie: "Because the quilt sandwich was already layered with fusible batting, I did not separate the layers to transform this UFO, fearing I would distort the quilt top. I turned the quilt top onto each of its four sides seeking ideas to transform this predominately dark quilt to a more colorful unique art quilt. I enhanced the already fused fabric rings by adding colorful fused triangles and hole-punched fused fabric circles. To reduce the harsh white fabrics, I shortened this area with markers and water soluble wax pastels. I added a traditional binding to complete this art quilt."

  1. I recieved the quilt in the mail today, and was thrilled beyond words. I love it and want to let Terri know that she did an awesome job.  The quilt still resembles the original, yet it is so bright and lovely.  Thank you Terri, and QA for a great adventure.  Hope we can participate in another challenge like this one.  I had a ball!
