Jeannie Palmer Moore

Title: "Bernina"

"Bernina" was enlarged and cropped before being discharged by monoprinting from black rayon. Up close you can view my stitching and see that I am desperately in need of a machine like a "Bernina" for the stitch regulator and satin stitch.

"Texture Magic" from Superior Threads created the feathers for "Bernina".

Free-motion stitching was done throughout the piece.

About Helen Gregory

Helen Gregory is the managing editor for Quilting Arts Magazine and Cloth Paper Scissors. She has been quilting for years; however, her very first quilt, a hand-pieced Grandmother's Flower Garden design, is still not finished! Since joining the QA/CPS team, Helen's stash has grown to include many mixed-media items. Basically, Helen has crossed over and sees artful possibilities in, well, everything. Having worked for years in the quilting industry, both as an editor and in marketing, she is absolutely thrilled to be part of the QA team. Like everyone on the QA/CPS staff, she wears many hats, and was recently mistaken for Pokey's personal assistant during the taping of QA TV Season 4.

  1. Wow Jeannie, you are certainly very talented!

When you are come to visit us in Melbourne I would love to introduce you to a friend of mine who has won a competition with similar work ……

    Love Heather

  2. I feel as if I can TOUCH one of the shiny feathers—fabulous stitching and fabric choice.  WATCH OUT WORLD,  if Jeannie gets ahold of a machine with a stitch regulator (hopefully this one) she’ll be UNBEATABLE!  She gets my vote, definitely.
