About Helen Gregory

Helen Gregory is the managing editor for Quilting Arts Magazine and Cloth Paper Scissors. She has been quilting for years; however, her very first quilt, a hand-pieced Grandmother's Flower Garden design, is still not finished! Since joining the QA/CPS team, Helen's stash has grown to include many mixed-media items. Basically, Helen has crossed over and sees artful possibilities in, well, everything. Having worked for years in the quilting industry, both as an editor and in marketing, she is absolutely thrilled to be part of the QA team. Like everyone on the QA/CPS staff, she wears many hats, and was recently mistaken for Pokey's personal assistant during the taping of QA TV Season 4.

  1. Even though she’s held by a ball and chain, she is still able to rise above it.  The colorful quilted backdrop fits the timeframe wonderfully.  A great inspirational metaphor.

  2. This made a very impact  on me and I love it.  As a young person I fantasized myself as a ballerina  but unfortunately it was not meamt to be.  Although I was small in starture and weight I was not graceful and light.  I remember one girl who probably was much larger and more graceful than I and I ruminated over that fact for a very long long time.  I am now way past my prime and still have those dreams. but have now switched to other things that I can do and  am enjoying iwhat I do.

immensely, mainly art which is one of my greatest dreams even though I do not necessarily follow all the rules.  I am enjoying my freedom and do not worry about the critics.  I am who I am and I love your artwork.
