Lori Wisheropp

This mama swan is happily counting her baby eggs and looking forward to them hatching. Her thoughts were typed in Photoshop before the image was transferring to fabric making a whole cloth. Details were created with fabric paint and thread using my wonderful 24-year-old Bernina 930. The oval quilting in the frame mimics the impression of the little eggs… ready hatch and greet their mama.

  1. This should  have had  a lot of votes.  Just the picture alone is absolutely Gorgeous!

This is the most beautiful of all of them.  When they say a picture says a thousand words, well this one does.

This is by far the Best of them all!

  2. The soft colors and bold writing with the theme of gratitude are a wonderful addition to this swan challenge. What a great idea to use Photoshop.

  3. All I can say is “WOW”.   This really is absolutely beautiful.  I agree with the other comments…  The representation is by far the best.  I count my blessings everyday and I love this!!!  Fabulous job.  Good luck.

  4. What beautiful work!  I love how you cradled the eggs in the word blessings.  I hope you have created banners for your church, you certainly have the talent!

  5. My son is alive! . . . . I am counting my blessings!

Ahhh, I’m about in tears as I look at my quilt entry for this contest. The message here is so true….  I’m so grateful as my son is recovering in the hospital after falling 12 feet crushing his leg. He was rock climbing 850 ft. up in Yosemite when he fell and had to wait  5 hours while dangling for rescue. Needless to say, I AM COUNTING MY BLESSINGS! ! ! ! !  He is alive!

  6. Lori, congratulations on a beautiful quilt.  It is so very true that children are a blessing!  I hope that your son recovers very soon!!

The oval quilting on your piece is especially unique.  Gorgeous work!

  7. Lori we are neighbors! 🙂

I guess we each bumped the other up a notch here. Thank you for your vote for my Nest Building.

Good luck, your swan is a beauty.

Glad your son is recovering, such a scary time you have had with that.

Yes, the contest has been fun.
