  1. Your show project patterns used to be free. Now I am required to buy a book of the whole season when all I want is one pattern. It is misleading to state that the pattern is on the web site.

  2. Your show patterns used to be free. Now I am required to buy a book of the whole season when all I want is one pattern. It is misleading to state that the pattern is on the web site. There are a number of episodes that the technique is not so clear or enough detail if you where interested in trying you would download.
I have every QATV series on DVD. The free projects in the pass have lead me to purchase a number of how to DVDs. I also receive Quilting Arts Magazine.
I will watch older DVD Series am I still able to find these free projects.
I can except change but this is disappointing as being a customer from Australia I feel I have lost a valuable resource that gives me the confidence to purchase products.

    1. Thank you for voicing your concerns regarding the supplemental information to QATV Series 1500. We love our viewers and appreciate you taking your valuable time to watch the shows.

Unfortunately, it is very expensive to produce this high quality content free to PBS stations, and we’ve had to change our policy regarding the instructions and patterns from QATV. There is a lot of time and energy going into planning out each episode and supplemental downloads. I hope you understand that we do need to pay our employees for their hard work on creating this wonderful product and hope the nominal fee won’t deter you from continuing to watch QATV.

However, we have heard your feelings about our new policy to charge for supplemental directions, templates, etc., described on QATV and have made some changes. Beginning with Series 1600, we will provide some of the simple, basic directions or templates on the website for free, as before. The more involved how-tos will be available for purchase through the Interweave store.

Project directions for Series 1400 and before are available free on the website.

Thank you so much for your patronage and, we hope, your understanding.
