Sun and Moon – framed fiber art piece

Awhile back, I dyed a piece of fabric and used CD's and spring clamps to resist the dye.  I got a really interesting design, and proceeded to quilt it and began to embellish it.  But I wasn't satisfied with the result.  It languished in the UFO pile for months.  Then one day I decided to cut into it to see if I could salvage any of it.  The result was a series of small, framed pieces.  I used foil or beading to highlight some of the design and framed them with inexpensive frames.

  1. I like that you cut the piece up and made smaller pieces after forgetting about it for awhile. Seems to give you new eyes! The  quilting along with the foil looks awesome.
