    Thanks for your comment. I started out with a piece of handdyed fabric. I thought it looked like the sky either at sunset or sunrise. I work very intuitively. I used some colback for the first time. It is a metal-like fabric that you can melt.  I used a piece of dark blue commercial fabric and pieced it together. I quilted the piece with invisible thread and rubbed paintstik all over it. The towers are sketched again in an intuitively way. As I made this around 9/11 this year I think I might have been influenced by that. It is as if the towers are standing against a sky, coloured by fire. I hope I’ve answered your question!
