Episode 612

Paints, inks, and crayons—they’re an integral part of the art quilter’s studio. Episode 612 makes use of them all. The first segment features Pokey demonstrating gelatin monoprinting. Then, Julie Fei-Fan Balzer shows how to use creative masking and stenciling techniques with oil paint sticks to create a colorful journal cover. The last segment features Jeanie Sumrall-Ajero printing on fabric from the computer, then punching, layering, and stuffing it to create a 3-D ornament.
