  • Pumpkins in Paradise

This quilt was inspired by the fabulous, but fleeting colors of fall. It was created from an original drawing of a pair of pumpkins basking in the rosy, morning sun in a lovely country setting. (Little do these pumpkins know, they will soon be scooped up and carved into jack-o-lanterns and then thrown...

  • Monet's Waterlillies Inspired Impressionistic Art Quilt

I found the loveliest little note card at Barnes & Noble, featuring Monet's Waterlillies. I have always loved Monet's work - especially his florals, which I had the great pleasure of seeing in person when my grandmother and I went to France...now about 16 years ago (!!) but I remember being...

  • Impressionistic Style Art Quilt

This is a technique called " Impressionistic Style Art Quilting " which I learned in a class with Ann Loveless. This particular technique could be used for any sort of landscape, but now I've also adapted it to other types of designs as well. It was helpful to begin learning this technique...

  • Kimono offcuts with sinusoidal quilting

Six years ago my good friend bought me a little bag of Kimono offcuts from a quilting store in Japan. I have always adored Asian style fabrics and this was a wonderful gift, but I never had the confidence that I could do the fabric any justice, and the pieces were all different shapes, sizes, materials...

  • Italian Villa

My Italian Villa is hanging on my wall to be completed... I am stuck with the ivy tumbling down the house. The house was drawn on the fabric using inks, markers, some paint. The flowers , grass, sidewalk, door, trims were fused. I have done lots and lots of free motion embroidery. I love to thread paint...

  • Hand-dyed Art Quilt

This is a down-and-dirty photo of a new piece I'm building with the fabrics I've been dyeing these past couple of weeks... the photo quality is awful, but it doesn't matter- this is just a reference so I can disassemble it and then have a visual map of where everything goes as I stitch it...
