“I seldom name my work until after it’s complete. My intent as I was making this piece was to see how the thread color affects the underlying fabric color and to use the window shapes, positive and negative. When I looked at the completed work, I thought about being trapped somewhere, keeping a tally of the passing time, looking out a window, and figuring out how to work my way out.”
