My Bio

I everyone at Quilting Arts the most wonderful magazine in the whole world.   I only started sewing/quilting in 2000 and have progressed rapidly to making Art Quilts, hand embroidery, clothes, quilts, childrens toys and have sold some of these items  on my etsy site (www.diannek.etsy.com) which is a great place for crafters and artists to explore, talk to and generally learn lots from like minded people.

I live in West Beach, Adelaide South Australia very near the beach and a river, we have just built a new home and I have my own studio room where I can play when I like.  I have 6 children, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and am 62 years young.  I will probably have to live to be 200 to complete all the things that want to do.

I am a member of 2 quilting groups, an art group and also a member of the Fiber Art Network (FAN) .  I also buy Cloth Paper Scissors and that is becoming my second best ever magazine.

I look forward to chatting with other people around the world with the same passions.

  • Exhibition in August

Hi everyone,  Am currently working on four Fiber Art Wallhangings for an Exhibition in August, enjoying every creative moment, have completed (or nearly) two of the four and am well pleased with them.

Also working on a triptich wallhanging of one of our beaches (Grange) for a client for her sons wedding in October.

Sewing bags for my market stall is a must as I sold seven last Sunday, so my sewing machine is running hot.

    Bye for now   diannek  8)

  • Hi to everyone at Quilting Arts

Have just joined your group and subscribe to Quilting Arts and get Cloth, Paper, Scissors they are both the most wonderful magazine and so useful, not only with ideas, but techniques and suggestions I have every single Quilting Arts Magazine from No 1 and refer to them all the time.

Thankyou for producing a wonderful magazine for those that have gone past traditional quilting, although I do that as well.

    Kindest Regards diannek
