My Bio

Remember the Helen Reddy song, I am Woman?  Well, I am Woman, I am Invicible, and I am tired !!!  I am also a mom, a wife, a quilter, an artist, an author, a teacher, and someone with more ideas than I'll be able to tackle in several lifetimes (which is why I'm often tired).  I began as a traditional quilter (and still love them), but now make pretty much only art quilts (until the boys need a go-to-college quilt).  I write Design articles for Machine Quilting Unlimited magazine, have two articles on Bindings in the 2007 issues of Quilting Arts, and have a new book:  Threadwork Unraveled--all about how to use thread on the surface of a quilt.

I'm so book is now available!   Best of all it is getting really good reviews (some of which you can read at   It's all about thread--how to use it in the machine, how to get your machine to work with you (not against you).  If you use thread on the surface of a quilt--applique, decorative stitch applique, free-motion stitching and machine quilting--this is the book for you!
