I have done a variety of handcrafts for over 40 years. At the age of 8, Mom taught me the basics of crochet, sewing clothes and stamped cross-stitch embroidery. Throughout the years, I've learned a wide variety of new skills, as well as perfecting those first three. Some of the skills I've learned are various other forms of embroidery, needlepoint, macrame, beading, quilling, stampmaking, calligraphy, needle tatting, and applique. My latest fascination is art quilts. I'm working on pieces that incorporate many of these different techniques. I am also fascinated by abstract fabric sculptures, and am experimenting with creating and embellishing sculptures made from fabric.
