I like to keep myself busy with projects, simple ones. I started making quilts in 2010, my first one was to keep my father warm while watching t.v. at my house and then I made another to keep my son warm at college. Then my other son was having a baby so there's the third, and then I have made various ones for people who needed blankets. Now, I just make them to be creative. I feel a great neeed to be creative in my older year. I also volunteer at the Greater Cleveland Red Cross Disaster Services. Between house work , washing clothes, cooking, and the Red Cross, I do my quilting and some painting, but mostly quilting. I love basset hound anything and collect anything basset hound. My dog is twelve years old now, and she watches me sew and cut. I made her a little quilted bed that she rest her bones on while she watches me. I think she is going to need a blanket come winter and that will be my next project. I have one going now for my grandson who is growing out of the baby quilt I made him. One day I am going to win those fat quarter, and make myself a quilt with them. All I need now is some one to sew with.
