In the September/October issue of Love of Quilting there is an error in the cutting for Artisan Star. The error was made by us, not by designer Patti Carey. The cutting instructions are correct for the diagonal seams method, but the sizes of the squares are reversed for using the Eleanor Burns method. The cutting should read as follows:

From cream/gold print, cut: 24 (3 1/2″-wide) strips. From strips, cut 142 (3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″) A rectangles.(If using Eleanor Burns’ ruler for making Flying Geese, cut 8 (7 1/2″-wide) strips. From strips, cut 36 (7 1/2″) squares. Follow instructions in Sew Easy: Eleanor’s Quick Flying Geese on page 60.)

From black/gold print, cut: 26 (3 1/2″-wide) strips. From strips, cut 284 (3 1/2″) B squares. (If using Eleanor Burns’ ruler for making Flying Geese, cut 9 (9″-wide) strips. From strips, cut 36 (9″) squares. Follow instructions in Sew Easy: Eleanor’s Quick Flying Geese on page 60.)
