Assembly Instructions
Step 1. On wrong side of 2 7/8″ green print square, draw diagonal line with marking tool of your choice. Layer square with 2 7/8″ red plaid square, right sides together. Sew 1/4″ seam on each side of marked line; cut apart on marked line. Press open to make pieced squares (Diagram I). Make 8 pieced-squares.
Step 2. Arrange and sew pieced-square units to 2 1/2″ green print squares (Diagram II) to make 4-patch units. Make 4.
Step 3. Sew 1 solid red 2 1/2″ square to 1 red plaid 2 1/2″ square (Diagram III). Make 4 pieced rectangles.
Step 4. Using Diagram IV as a guide, sew 4-patch units, pieced rectangles, and 2 1/2″ red solid square together to make rows. Sew rows together to make Baton Rouge Square Block.
