Lesson 5: How to Calculate Changes to a Quilt
- Changing the size of a block
- Determine the finished size of the block and the separate units
- Add the seam allowances to the finished sizes
- Using spacer borders with pieced borders
- Determine the finished size of the top and the pieced border
- Calculate how much extra will be needed to make the spacer border

Instructor:
Donna Mae Norris has had a passion for making quilts for over 30 years. She has made every style of quilt starting with Traditional plus Modern and Art Quilts. Her quilts have been exhibited all around the U.S. and she has won numerous awards in competitions including National Shows. She was one of the owners of a quilt shop in Colorado in the early 1990’s.
Because Donna Mae loves sharing her enthusiasm for quilt making, she has been teaching extensively at quilt shops and quilt guilds for over 28 years. She teaches classes for both adults and children, and has taught all styles of quilts and at every skill level.
