Passionate…mysterious…feminine… What is purple? From crushed berry purple to delicate lavender, there are so many shades of purple, it’s frequently a divisive color: you love it or hate it. For the lovers, this month’s Color Me Quilter is a celebration of a deep, luscious favorite; for the anti-purple, Mary offers a new way to approach it. In addition, learn about batiks: how they’re made, where they’re made, and the “new batik” that is giving a quilter’s favorite fabric new life in the market.
