Piecing the Block

1. 1. Sew tan 1 squares to dark brown 1 square (Diagram I). Sew tan 1 x 3 strips to top and bottom. Stitch orange 2 x 3 rectangles to sides; stitch orange 2 x 6 strips to top/bottom. Sew light green 2 x 6 strips to sides; sew light green 2 x 10 strips to top/bottom. Stitch medium green 3 x 10 strips to sides; stitch medium green 3 x 15 strips to top/bottom. Sew medium brown 3 x 15 strips to sides; sew medium brown 3 x 21 strips to top/bottom to complete Big Squares Block.
